-=dod_wsh_dixie_b2=-author GunsOfNavarone First, let me start by stating I do not know who the orignal creator of this map is. So, my apologies to him/her/them for not including their name(s). This is a remake of dod_dixie_b1 which I obtained from playing on some server somewhere. A couple of our members wanted to change the gameplay of the map by "opening up" some buildings. So, I rebuilt the map using most of the original textures and layout and added/modified capture points on the map. The original map, when played, seemed incomplete as there were "invisible" obstructions (possibly where models were originally placed but the model itself had been removed), and textures were mis-aligned in other places (walls with windows on them were half cut-off) so I corrected all these in remaking it as well as opening up some of the buildings as already mentioned. Additionally, I took the liberty and added another area to create a new capture zone partly because in the original version the axis had 2 directions out of their spawn, and allies had only 1 so I wanted to balance this and create another route from the allied area which in-turn aids to modify the gameplay. Opening up buildings helped also in this regard as well as attempting to create a little more balance to the map. Included in the download files are the map and .res file as well as the wad files used. Extract and place all wad files in the dod directory and the map (.bsp) and .res file in your maps directory.
